Ice Cream Social

Did you know that every afternoon at Shelby Nursing Center from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. is Ice Cream Social for the residents and their families?  We made sure that when we went to see Grandma today that we were there for that.  Grandma had chocolate, Jessie had strawberry and I had praline pecan.  Yum.  We took Grandma to the main room for the social then visited and listened to the residents and 2 very vocal volunteers singing songs from the ... 40's, 50's ????  "Won't You Come Home Bill Baily?"  "You Are My Sunshine".  I have to say that my family wasn't too impressed with my joining in.  What can I say?  I like music and I like to sing!
