Jon took me out to breakfast this morning then we came back and worked on canning 10 half pints of "Grandma's Spiced Peach Preserves" that I found on-line. Jon had some on toast for dinner and said it was great, and I just put a teaspoon of the preserves on a small dish of ice cream. Excellent!
This weekend is the Peach Festival in Romeo - which I avoid if at all possible. Too many people in our small town. Jon bought a half bushel of peaches last weekend so along with the preserves, tomorrow I'll make a peach cobbler for dinner. I've never made one before, so we'll see how it tastes!
