I'm Coming Back - Soon

I am here and all is well. I wondered what it would be like to not blog. I don't like it. It's been a part of me for 6 years. I miss it. So, soon I will play catch up and be with you daily again. Before October ends - for sure.

Friday, September 16

While I spent the day packing, going to the bank and more wash, my friends Ed and Doreen came and performed a garden miracle.

They tore out all but 3 of my perennials, trimmed my trees, and laid weed barrier down in my garden. What an absolutely awesome job they did. I was and am so very pleased.

Jon and I will be putting down white stone before winter. Next spring I'm going to carefully choose non-invasive perennials and plant them quite a bit a part.

Thank you,
thank you,
thank you,
Ed and Doreen!

Thursday, September 15

A busy day. Bible study for me. Gym for Jessie. MORE WASH !!! Packing for another vacation beginning Saturday. Canned peach preserves with Jon.

Chris brought pizza for dinner then the 2 of us went to Woodside Troy to see Matthew West. It was a really nice benefit concert for our Veterans.

At one point in the concert I lost sight of Matthew and wondered where he was. I turned to my left and he was standing next to the lady on my left with an arm around her shoulders. I couldn't believe it. I was so shocked I forgot to get a picture.

I was happy for her. I struck up a conversation with her prior to the concert. Her and her husband are Canadians and drove 6 hours for the concert. We talked about the benefits of both of our countries, as well as it's neglect in various areas. She was thrilled at how "up close and personal" she was to Matthew West.

Chris spent the night and went to work from our house the next morning. That's always nice for her, and for us.

Wednesday, September 14

I had my hair cut then Jon and I went to Blake's Cider Mill for lunch. It was another beautiful day and eating outside was really nice - except for the bees!
After lunch we walked through a very old cemetery in Romeo, looking for a Sutton ancestor, but to no avail.

It was pretty spooky back there!

Tuesday,September 13

Wash! Wash! Wash!  Stephen Ministry first night of Continuing Ed.

Monday, September 12

Vacation over - we needed to be out of our park model by 11:00 a.m., so that took some quick packing since we didn't do anything the night before.

Thanks goes to Brenda who took our picture before we left.

And, as everyone knows from vacation, you come home and everything needs to be unpacked, put away and laundry needs to be done. In this case, laundry also included bedding and towels. And, there was a lot of it!

Sunday, September 11

We spent about 2 hours on the golf cart on Sunday after sleeping in and having a nice, leisurely breakfast.

We ate a late breakfast, a late lunch, then when it got dark we had a fire and had a late dinner of roasted hot dogs.

Saturday, September 10

It wasn't a very nice weather day, so we went to Davison's Farmer's Market then on to Bronner's in Frankenmuth.

Unfortunately, the Farmer's Market was jammed packed with people. It was a corn fest and because of the amount of people and children, we weren't there long.

Jessie likes to go see the Santa Store, so we went to Bronner's. We didn't go any further because Frankenmuth was taken over by an old car festival.

Just as a clarification, we put Jessie in a wheel chair so that she is not so overwhelmed and is "enclosed" in the chair. Large areas tend to set her off and she becomes over stimulated.

Friday, September 9

Our biggest event on Friday was spending time in the kiddie pool. Jon stayed back at the park model that we rented and Jess, Brenda and I "went swimming". It was such a nice, sunshiny day. We had the pool almost all to ourselves. Just a couple preschool aged kids. Jess did good.

Thursday, September 8

I went to the first session of a new Bible Study topic at Shepherd's Gate. "Jesus The One And Only" by Beth Moore.
Rachel took Jessie to the gym and out to eat. Jon finished packing.

We began a 4 1/2 day camping vacation to Outdoor Adventures, thanks to Brenda and Gary in the late afternoon. We went there last year and Jessie has been talking about it all year. She enjoyed it so much that she wanted to go back.

We decided not to pull out the small kitchen table and Jess enjoyed eating on a tray table in the "living room" for her meals.

We all fell into bed that night totally exhausted. I had been packing for days before our trip and I think on this day my Fitbit said I put in 8,800 steps. I felt like it, too.

I'm Trying To Be "Back"

Today is October 4 and because I have my blog printed at the end of a 4-month period, I need to back-track with what's been happening this past month. As I said the last post, all was well but I was taking a break. A couple vacations and then just no posts. Let's see how I do in remembering the past month. Mostly it'll be in pictures.
