New Year's Eve

This has been a really nice day.  Bill and Jon had a "date day" and so did Jess and I.  Bill and Jon went out to the show and lunch.  Jess and I went grocery shopping then out to lunch.  Bill and I also went out Christmas 2011 shopping.  Got some really good deals.  No more shopping for me this year.  I'm done!

I just want to THANK everyone who has been following my blog, supporting us in friendship and prayer this year.  As I have said many times, this has been the worst year of my life.  Yet, I have received the most favor and blessings from God than I ever have.  To be given more time with my wonderful husband is the best gift of all.  He is my best friend, my knight in shining armor.  May all the glory go to our Heavenly Father who is worthy of our praise at all times.

Thank you, Jesus!

A Real Date

Today was a normal Thursday with several hours at my mom's.  However, at 4:30, Bill and I left and went on a "real date".  We went out to dinner at Filippa's (had a coupon) then visited Diane and Randie.  We RARELY go out to dinner - lunch or breakfast is always cheaper.  And, it always seems that on a "date day" we end up shopping.  Not this time.  The best part of the evening was how blessed we are to have been able to go out.  It's been 6 months and 1 week since Bill began chemo and I never thought we'd be able to go out because he's been feeling so bad.  He's grateful for the 2 weeks the doctor gave him off of chemo.  He said that he's finally feeling like his old self.  It was a nice date.

Yesterday and Today's Post

Did anyone notice that I didn't blog last night?  I think I've missed about 3 times since September.  I started with hives before dinner and after a half hour it became evident that they were getting worse so I had to take Benedryl.  It's the only medication that knocks me right out and I only take it if I'm desperate.  I was asleep by 7:30 p.m. and out of bed this morning at 8:30 p.m.!  Maybe that's why I'm having back spasms today.  Way too long in bed.  Oh, well.  Enough about me.

Bill has had two really great days!  Yesterday he went to the Hobby Shop with Jon and bought another model to work on, as he finished his engine.  He bought a semi truck model which will probably take him months to finish!  Today, he did all the wash, and that requires going up and down stairs.  Right now he's on the couch.  Tired but happy that he was able to do so much these past two days.  We are greatful for continued prayers for Bill and our family.

Picked Clean

I decided I wasn't going to go into Kohl's again until my bill was paid, but then I received a gift card from Bill for Christmas.  So, Bill, Jess and I went to Kohl's by Lakeside, walked around one isle and left.  There were so many people there that Jessie kept her hood up and I could tell she would have had a panic attack.  After I brought her home I went to "our" Kohl's and bought 2 shirts.  I was also hoping to find some really great Christmas deals, but the shelves were picked clean.  Valentine's towels, etc. were in the place of Christmas.  Not even a Christmas mug. A few ornaments, that's it.  That and about 75 people in the return line, with only 2 people behind the counter.  Nuts.

We are extremely thankful that Bill doesn't have to have chemo again until January 5.  This gives him 2 weeks to build up his strength and have some days without nausea before the cycle begins again.  He went with Jess and I on "Girl's Day Out" and didn't even take a nap when we got home!  This is great!

The Day After Christmas

Well, the day didn't go like I had planned, but what day does?  Bill, Mom S and I went to church at 11:00.  Jon drove Jessie home then came back for us.  About 10 minutes before we got out of service, Diane called to let us know that she couldn't get hold of our mom.  So, Bill took Mom S and Jess home and Jon and I went to check on her.

What happened next can be called funny now, but wasn't when it happened.  I let Jon go in and check on her (well, after all he IS a nurse!).  He kept calling her name and no answer.  He figured she had passed away in the night.  He was right next to her bed calling her name and no answer so he reached down to check the pulse in her neck when she let out a large snore.  Scared the crap out of Jon.  He yelled at me to come on back that she was still breathing but she still didn't hear him.  We had to shake her awake.  She was a bit surprised to find us in her bedroom and that it was after 12:30 !!!!!

Jon went home and I helped her get moving, dressed and got her breakfast.  Jon went home and came back for me around 3:00.  When I got home I told Bill that it sure was a long trip home from church!

Bill said he had a good day.  Boring, but good.  We'll take it!

Christmas Day

Every Easter morning and every Christmas morning, Bill and I get downstairs before we let the kids come down and we always get a picture of them waiting behind the gate.  Same this year.  Plus, I've got a picture of Jessie flying down the stairs on her butt.  Does she look excited or what?

I wish I had my video camera working this morning, as Jess was the most animated she's ever been over her gifts.  Each one was greeted like it was THE gift she's been waiting for.  Ooh's, aah's, wow's and cute were the norm this morning.  She kept giving us all hugs, too.  She was so appreciative of all she got.  She surpassed her "ten presents" that she wants each year.

The joke is on me, though, as I bought Jon a whistling key chain finder because he's continually misplacing his keys.  The joke?  I just found out today he can't whistle!

It was a very nice family day.  We watched a couple DVD's, I took a short nap and just enjoyed each other's company.  We hope that you, too, had a very nice Christmas.

Christmas Eve Traditions

When I was growing up we always celebrated Christmas on Christmas Eve because of my dad's work schedule as a Detroit Policeman.  He was either working or sleeping on Christmas Day.  We began with going to my dad's parents house in the early afternoon, because Santa would have been there already(Grandma and Grandpa were on the early drop-off schedule).  My dad would get us kids into the car plus all the presents and my mom would be the last one to get in the car.  It took her forever!  What I didn't know until years later, was that she was making many trips up and down the stairs to the hiding spot and putting all the presents around the tree so that when we arrived back home, we'd have our Christmas.  (I guess we were on the second early drop-off schedule).

When I married Bill, we continued the Jonas tradition by being with my family on Christmas Eve and Bill's sister's family (until their move to Georgia) on Christmas Day.  Rarely have we not celebrated with family on Christmas Eve.

I can count on one hand the number of times we've gone to Christmas Eve service because of our tradition.  After my dad died in 1978, my friend, Sherry, invited my mom and I to her parent's church for service.  The next two times were in 2000 and tonight.  Bill felt well enough that we were able to go and even take my mom, who spent the day with us.  It was very nice and special, with the topic being miracles.

When Bill was first diagnosed with terminal cancer, I thought that he'd be in Heaven for Christmas.  I praise God for our miracle this year.  Miracles are for the Glory of God, and may this miracle be just that.  Thank God, for our miracle.  We are humbled by your blessing.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all ... a good night!

The Thursday Before Christmas

I thought I'd publish a picture of my Christmas table settings.  We sit down every evening as a family and have dinner together.  I enjoy this time, and especially when I can use my Christmas dishes.

Bill is feeling much better than yesterday, but he's also been sleeping most of the day and evening.  Still asleep on the couch.  Not sure why. Sleeping day and night is a bit unusual for him.

I spent some time with my mom today.  It's quite sad that her dimentia is getting so much worse and that she can't even remember that tomorrow is Christmas Eve.

Wednesday Before Christmas

Just in case you don't know, this is my second post of the day.  Please see the one below, as it has some very EXCITING news.  I'm still unable to comprehend it all.  Actually, I'm a little numb.  A good numb, but still numb.  I feel so honored that Jesus would choose to do this for Bill (and us, of course!).

Unfortunately, Bill hasn't been able to "celebrate" the good news as he is very sick.  "I haven't been this sick in years!" he told me earlier.  I think he has the flu.  We'll see how he is in the morning.

An Early Blog ... You Need To Read This Now!

We just got back from Bill’s doctor appointment where we got the results of the PET scan he had last week.   The comment from the doctor on the bottom of Bill’s chart simply reads: “Wow!”  It was a VERY unusual PET scan result considering Bill’s diagnosis of terminal cancer.  The only area that “lit up” was the esophagus.  No other “hot spots” were on the PET scan.  Our doctor even called the radiologist to see if they had the correct scan.  There’s still a 20% chance that the tumors are still there, but dormant.  I asked the doctor if he’d consider it a miracle, but he wouldn’t go there just yet.  However, he doesn’t see many results like this.

What can I personally say?  THANK YOU, JESUS!  THANK YOU everyone, for praying.  Please don’t stop praying.  We are extremely pleased with these results.  Our next step is to continue chemo on Wednesday, January 5, then a CT scan (this will measure tumors) in 6 weeks.  MERRY CHRISTMAS, everyone!!!!!!

Tuesday Before Christmas

Today was our annual Christmas Dinner out, only we go at lunch time since it's cheaper.  Bill, Jon and I went to Red Lobster.  We had a very nice dinner and time together. Jessie and Shannon went to the Library.  Jon spent the afternoon and evening at church for the junior high group.  I finished our Christmas cards and Jess played on the iPad.  "All" I have to do now is wrap presents.

Please remember us tomorrow as we get results from Bill's PET scan.  Pray for God's peace and wisdom.  Have a good night.

Monday Before Christmas

Here are a few pictures from yesterday's Jonas Christmas:

Today began with a very nice breakfast out with a good friend.  Did some paperwork when I got home then Jess and I had "Big Girls Day Out" again.  She was singing her kids hymns at the top of her lungs in the van then we both enjoyed a picnic.  Took McDonald's to Mae Stecker Park and ate in the van looking out over the frozen pond.  It was a beautiful day, wasn't it?

Bill had a pretty good day, until he got the service station call that the repair bill for his truck will be over $700.00!  Oh, well.  Just add it to the previous four bills for the van.  We do need dependable vehicles.  That is a must.

Bill and Jon went to the Monday Night Men's Group Christmas Dinner tonight.  They both had a nice time.  I spent the evening writing out a few more Christmas cards and Jess played on the iPad.

Jonas Christmas Party Day

The Jonas side of the family always celebrates Christmas on Christmas Eve.  We've only had to deviate from this date a couple of times in decades.  This year is one of them.  Because we won't know for sure if Bill has chemo on Thursday, we decided to celebrate early so that he would be able to enjoy it.

Bill wasn't feeling quite like he has the past several days, but we were able to go to church (AFTER the truck was towed in because it wouldn't start!).  Bill brought Jess home and put the chicken pot pies in the oven.  It was great being in church again.  We are blessed to be a part of a wonderful church family who cares for us.

Diane, Randie and my mom arrived around 2:00.  We ate dinner, had dessert then opened presents.  We played Jessie's new Apples 2 Apples Disney game then had snacks.  A very nice day.

I would have posted pictures but something is wrong with my camera cord and I can't get it into the camera.  Will have to have it looked at tomorrow.

Unfortunately, Jessie's yelling at me that we have to put out cookies and milk for Santa tonight.  She was OK with an early Christmas, but now she wants "ten presents" in the morning and snacks for Santa.  I have a feeling it's going to be a very L-O-N-G week.

Professional Shoppers

Another great physical day for Bill.  What a blessing.  We are so very greatful that he has had some really good days and been able to get out.  We are absolutely positive it is because so many people are praying.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We left the house at 8:30 this morning and got home at 12:30.  Mission accomplished.  Christmas shopping is done, as well as grocery shopping.  Now, if you were to see us in Meijer's you'd see a grocery cart piled high and think it was all for us.  Not.  I consider myself a "professional shopper" as I do shopping for several people.  I not only purchase items for us, I buy for Mom Jonas, Mom Sutton, Jessie and Lois.  So, in the basket I sometimes have to keep 5 orders separate.  We go to the self serve check outs and Bill does all the packing and keeps the orders separate in the basket.  Actually, I enjoy it.  We make a good team!

3rd Shot Done! YAH!

Diane picked me up for the third time this morning and took me for my last of 3 shots in my knee.  When the PA came in the room, I told him he could NOT hurt me this time.  He gave me extra numbing medicine and it was even better than the first.  Don't have to go back for 3 months for a recheck.  Yah!

Bill felt well enough to go with Jon and do last minute Christmas shopping then rested in the afternoon.  Jessie and Shannon went out to breakfast then baked gingerbread cookies.  Jon's best friend, Jacob, is home for Christmas break and they spent time together killing zombies.

Countdown ... 8 days til Christmas.  I'm not ready.

Another Whirlwind Day

As Shannon was coming in the front door at 9:00 a.m., we were leaving.  When she was leaving at 4:30 p.m., we were finally getting home.  Bill had his PET scan today.  We were supposed to be there at 9:45 with a 10:15 test time.  We were told that it only takes about 15 minutes.  What they didn't tell us was that after being injected with the nuclear sugar, Bill had to relax for 90 minutes!  The time went fast, though, as we both played a "States" game on the iPad.  Naturally, Bill was smarter than I was (always has been).

We have a doctor's appointment scheduled for next Wednesday to get the results of the PET scan.  Waiting is the hardest.  It will be determined then if Bill should have more chemo or not.  Please pray.

After the test we went to lunch, to a Medical Supply store, Kroger's, a bakery for mom, my mom's for several hours, made a delivery for someone, post office and finally home.  I was so thankful to put a lasagna in the oven that our friend, Pat, brought over last night.  All I had to do was set the table.

Bill felt pretty good today.  He's not been able to sleep all the way through the nights again, so he's been up since 4:30 this morning.  He went to bed early.

Thank You, Jesus, For Humor

Tomorrow Bill will be having a PET scan.  The nurse told us that there was no prep for the test.  That wasn't exactly true.  For dinner he could only have protein ... steak, green beans and a lettuce salad with Italian dressing.  Nothing else.  And, for 24 hours prior to the scan, he wasn't to exercise or exert himself in any way.  Not even chew gum!  I'll have to ask tomorrow why.

Anyway, I was going through a bag of decorations my mom gave me so that I could make tiebacks for the door curtains.  Bill got unusually quiet and when I looked over at him ... well ... the picture tells all.  He had greenery on his head and puckered lips.  What I didn't realize until later, was that the greenery was misteltoe!  I missed my chance.  Oh, well, we wouldn't want him to kiss away and have hot lips on the scan tomorrow.  I'm so glad he's such a good sport and a very funny guy!

I had a very nice lunch out with my friend, Kathy, today.  I love visiting with her and talking Jesus.  I'm thankful that God has given us friends.  Friends who help carry our heavy loads.  Thank you, Jesus, for friends.

Another Blustery Day

And I wasn't even in the Hundred Acre Woods!  The van was ready at 10:30 (new major belt) and Bill and I went to get it after I got gas for his truck.  If you get gas at Meijer's you know how windy it is at the gas tanks.  I was frozen!

Bill's friend, Phil, has called many times in the past several months to see how Bill is doing and then takes him out to either breakfast or lunch.  Today they went to lunch.  He had a nice time but then was wiped out for the rest of the day.  Probably because he was getting ice melter ready for us in several containers, out in the cold.  He went to bed early.

I had alot of running around to do this afternoon and Jon went with me.  I really enjoy time with my son.  He's a neat young man.  We went to the post office, Rite Aid, bank, Walgreen's, lunch, a florist, my mom's and Kohl's.  I hadn't intended to do Christmas shopping but I bought several gifts and I'm almost done.  That's a good feeling.

The Weather Outside Is Frightful!

It's been a VERY long time since I've been out in such cold, blustery and snowy weather.  Jon used the snowblower on both driveways and I tried to shovel the porches and sidewalks.  Unfortunately, under the snow was a thick layer of ice.  Ice melter was useless.

I didn't want Jess to go out because it was so cold, but she made such a fuss I let her.  The only thing showing outside was her glasses and nose.  She had a good time and didn't complain when we went inside.

We had to take the van back in to the repair shop today because when Jon went to church yesterday he lost power - no brakes, no steering.  Panel lights flashing. Not good.  I sure hope that it is an inexpensive fix.  When we went out today I was surprised at how bad the roads still were!  Snow covered and icy.
It was VERY beautiful, though.  The frosty snow hung heavy on bushes and trees.  It was sparkling with the bright sunshine, too.

Aren't I cute in my snowmobile outfit?  It's at least 25 years old.  Some years it fits better than others!  This year I can get it zipped but can't bend over!

Today was a very hard day for Bill.  More mental than physical.

Paper Work, Paper Work, Paper Work

I am so sick of paperwork I could just scream!  I hate it so much, I tend to let it pile up and not do it daily.  Soooo, today was THE day to get caught up.  If I put it all together, I think I spent about 6 hours at my desk.  When you have a special needs child/adult, the paper work you have to keep track of is incredible.  My desk is now clean, checks are written and papers are filed away.  For today, anyway.

Only Jon went to church today.  I wasn't about to go and take my mom out in this mess that is still falling.  It's been nice looking out at the falling snow.  Thankfully, we have no where to go tomorrow.

Today wasn't as good a day for Bill as the past 3 days.  He did a little on his engine model, but rested most of the day.  Maybe tomorrow will be better.

I Hate Saturday Shopping

The only good part about grocery shopping today was that Bill felt well enough to venture out and go with me.  I've missed his presence at Meijer's.  He packs our groceries and we make a good shopping team.  My knee was so bad I used the electric shopping cart for half the store and then Bill used it the second half because he got tired.  (He also fixed the garage door today!)

There were so many people in the store it was unbelievable.  I know Saturday is a big shopping day, but this was more than a normal Saturday.  I didn't realize it until I got to the parking lot that everyone is stocking up for the big snow tonight and tomorrow.  That would explain it.  We also saw several people we haven't seen in years.  That was nice.

I put my leg up and iced my knee when I got home and played on the iPad.  Jess came downstairs, put her arm around me and watched me.  Next thing I knew, I was waking up with her asleep on my shoulder. I closed my eyes and went back to sleep.  Naps are so nice!

Christmas Dinner Out

The last couple of days have been pretty good for Bill.  In fact, we were able to go to our church's BYF Christmas Dinner this evening.  It was a nice evening out with good food, great friends, Christmas music by 5 men and their trumpets, and a timely message.  Thank you, Jesus, that we were able to be surrounded by our friends once again and enjoy their fellowship.

We came home to find a blue-faced Jessie.  Blue tongue, blue lips, cheeks and fingers.  Before I left she wanted to color with a new package of color wonder pens and paper.  We're not sure how she got so blue as there is no color on the pens - the pages turn color with the special pen.  Leave it to her!

Had my second shot today in my knee.  It hurt worse that the first one.  Next week the PA will also put in cortisone.  I'm sure I'll be alot better if I could just stay off my feet for a couple days.  How do I do that?  I'm trying, though.

I Am So Tired Of Busy Days

Bill's been cooped up for too long and would love to get out and go somewhere.  I've had to be out too much and want to stay home!  Today I dropped Jon off at a doctor's appointment and went shopping before I had to pick him up again.  We went to lunch then a doctor's appointment for me.  (Had already cancelled 2 appointments for my mom today because the van is still in the shop, otherwise we would have had MORE stops.)  Target and the Post Office before finally getting home.

I have another doctor's appointment tomorrow but fortunately, Diane and Randie are taking me.  I will be having the second shot in my knee.  I'm looking forward to spending time with them, but not the shot.

Bill had a better day today.  He had to watch Jess as Shannon wasn't able to be here yesterday or today.  (We'd appreciate your prayers for a medical issue for Shannon.)  Neither one was tied up when I got home, so that's good.  Guess Jess spent quite awhile on the iPad.  I've downloaded lots of books and games for her.  She needs her own!

Repairs, Repairs, Repairs

Last month our dishwasher needed to be replaced.  Then Bill reminded me that we needed new tires on the van before winter arrived, so we got them.  Next the ball bearings went out and needed replacing.  Yesterday the garage door springs broke and that needs to be repaired.  I'm just so thankful that I had just backed out the van when it broke.  Otherwise, we'd really be in trouble.  Today we had to have the van taken in again because of a leak in the front end.  Verdict: we need a new radiator.  All right, already!  Enough is enough!

This blog has been great in keeping family and friends updated on Bill's progress and family happenings.  However, the phone calls have ended.  If you get a chance, give Bill a call.  He's not having good days and he's gotten cabin fever.  This week has been especially hard.  I'm sure he'd like to hear from you.

This past summer I went to Diane's and we worked with hypertoufa.  One of my creations was a face.  Bill mounted it on a tree and we can see this guy wheneveer we look outside.  I felt he needed a hat for the Christmas season.  What do you think?

A Better Day For Bill

Today was a much better physical day for Bill.  He helped me prepare two rubbermaids and a box of envelopes to be shipped out to Lois tomorrow.  He did his mother's wash.  He took a long nap,  then he cleaned up the kitchen after dinner because I went out with some friends for a Christmas dinner celebration.  I think he spent the rest of the night on the couch.  He's doing a puzzle right now on the iPad.  We're both more than ready for bed.  Night all!

Monday's Third Post ... Make Sure You Read Them All

Just how cold was it today, anyway?  I had to take my mom to the doctor's and with the wind blowing it was freezing.  Thankfully the roads weren't icy when I left this morning.

As you can see from Bill's picture, he was VERY cold inside.  (I'm so glad he's a good sport!)  Unfortunately, severe nausea and fatigue have been his constant companion these past few days.  Being cooped up in the house and feeling so sick (it's been 10 weeks with this certain kind of chemo), he's a bit down, too.  I'll have to think of something to cheer him up tomorrow.  Maybe I'll make him a honey-do list for when he IS feeling better.  Or not.

Manger Scene

I wanted you to see the manger scene that Lynzee and Ella put up.  The figures were my Grandma's dating back to 1947. They also decorated my year-round wreath with angels to represent the Heavenly Hosts.  Nice job, girls!

Yesterday's Post

Sorry there wasn't anything to read this morning, but Comcast was down last night.  It was pretty wide-spread, too, as my sister didn't have it either.  I had called and their message was: "We are having technical difficulties.  Please call back!"  At least it wasn't with my computer.

Anyway, thanks to Julie, Kylee, Lynzee, Jessica and Ella, I got my Christmas plates down, put away and the regular dishes stored.  I haven't had a Christmas Village in several years and Kylee and Jessica did that (see above).  Lynzee and Ella worked on a nativity set (I'll post this tonight).  Lynzee crawled into the Christmas closet and brought out all the boxes then put the empty ones back.  THANK YOU, girls, you did an awesome job!  I love you !!!!!

We ate sloppy joes and chips and celebrated Kylee's 14th birthday (Tuesday) with a delicious cake and moose track ice cream.  It was alot of fun and the decorating is done!

More tonight ... as long as Comcast is working!

Christmas Preparation

I think I mentioned the other day that thanks to Shannon, Jessie's tree is up and decorated.  Thought you might like to see it.  She has such a nice room, if I do say so myself.

I try to avoid shopping on Saturdays but it couldn't be helped this week.  Went to Meijer's, Target, and Kohl's.  Inside the stores wasn't bad, it was the parking lots.  There's alot of crazy people behind the wheel these days, and today they were all in those parking lots.

Thanks to Jon, all the wash was done and folded when I got home.  Thanks, Jon!  You're an awesome son.  He also kept Bill company today.  Unfortunately, Bill had a very bad day.  He hasn't been this sick since he began chemo.  He's been plastered to the couch all day and evening.  Hopefully, tomorrow will be better.

Sister Day

My sister took the day off and took me to the doctor's to get my first of three injections in my knee.  Why?  Because I didn't know what to expect, I'm a "chicken" and didn't want to go by myself, and she's a great sister.  One of the shots hurt alot (probably the numbing medication) and it FELT like he was blowing up my knee.  Di said that it LOOKED like he was blowing up my knee, too!  He also drained 17cc's of water off the knee.  I've kept it elevated and iced tonight.  It feels weird, but I think it is better.  I'm hoping for the best.

Both Bill and Jon have been teasing me about getting chicken side-effects from the shots, as it is made from the chicken comb.  At dinner I turned to Jon and had him look at my lip where it is swollen and red.  Before Jon could comment, Bill said, "That's where the beak grows!"  Cute.  Even with chemo he's still witty!

After my appointment Di treated me to a very special lunch at Lelly's in Auburn Hills.  Very elegant, great food and the home made chocolate ice cream was absolutely delicious.  Thanks, Di!  It was a very special treat.

All afternoon Diane was saying how tired she was and when I got home I could hardly keep my eyes open.  Looked at facebook tonight and several people posted that they were tired.  Wonder if we're getting ready to hibernate?  Bill's been sleeping off and on all day, although his excuse is the chemo.  Very red (steroids) and very tired.  He slept most of the night, though, which was good.  Jon's been in bed since 7:30 p.m.!  I guess we'll all be in bed early tonight.

Chemo Day

WOO HOO!  The nurse was able to get a good blood draw from Bill's port today with only minimal movements, although Bill claims she had him stand on his head!  We were in and out in 7 hours.  Thanks to Wes, Gary and Marilyn, those hours flew by.  We REALLY appreciate the time they spent with us.  The day flew by.  When Gary and Wes were there, I was able to go out to lunch and to a store.  That helped me alot, too.

Jess had a good day today.  She and Shannon went to Meijer's then decorated her tree and did book work.  I'd tell you about Jon's day, but he said that there wasn't anything to write about.  I'm tired and off to bed!

Preparing For Tomorrow

Bill felt well enough this morning to go Christmas shopping (for me, of course).  He knows that he won't feel well for the next couple of weeks, so he tried to get it done today.  I went to mom's and worked today instead of tomorrow.  We bought a few groceries.  I put Jessie's tree up so that Shannon could help her decorate it tomorrow.  I made a special dinner and I packed our rolling back pack of things to do in the 7 hours that it will take for Bill's chemo infusions.

We covet your continued prayers for Bill's infusion tomorrow and the next couple of weeks.  They will be difficult, especially with Christmas around the corner.
