Another Friday

Debbie and Jess had breakfast out as usual.  Jon and I also went to breakfast at the same restaurant.  It was fun watching Jess interact with two older gentlemen that she has gotten to know there and then walk right past Jon and I and not notice us until a good 5 minutes later.  Then a loud: "MOM!"

Debbie and Jess went on some errands, came home then went to the Rec Center for Gym Class.  Again Jess seemed to have a great time.  Jon and I went to the doctor for a recheck on my swollen foot and leg.  It appears that I have venous insufficiency.  Because of the blood clot that still remains in the back of my knee and the scar tissue that has formed, I will always have a narrower blood vessel and may have swelling off and on for the rest of my life.  Ok then.  At least it doesn't require further surgery or anything major.

From the doctor's we went to Kee's Pets and Jon bought more fish for his aquarium.  Then he dropped me off at Lois' and I finished packing 2 rubbermaids and did one more.  Later, Jon and I took 5 to the post office and mailed them off to Haiti.

I fixed a quick dinner before I went to church for the first session in a Spiritual Growth Conference that is being held this weekend.  Tomorrow's session begins at 8:15 a.m. then finishes on Sunday morning.

Another Packing Day

Brenda and Jess dropped me off at Lois' and we spent the day packing boxes to go to Haiti and doing paperwork.  Brenda and Jess went to Meijer's, home, McDonald's then bowling.  Jon isn't home yet from work so I can't tell you what kind of day it was for him.  My foot is still swollen and the incision in my knee hurts.  Weird.  I have a doctor's appointment in the morning so we'll see.

Today was a very cold, blustery day.  I guess the morning was the worse with high winds and snow which made roads treacherous. Tonight the temperatures will be below zero with wind chills in the way below zeros.  Someone forgot to tell Mother Nature that Saturday is March 1 and spring should be coming soon.  The only thing I don't like about spring is the tornados. We've come very close to too many lately.

A Restful Day

I didn't do much today other than a couple loads of wash and folded clothes.  I sat in my chair for the most part and kept my leg elevated.  I think it's a little better, but I haven't taken a look at my foot since this morning.  It's more uncomfortable to walk on.  Oh, well.  We'll see what the water pills do.  I think it's odd that only one foot and leg is swollen - my surgery leg.

Plan B Day

I was planning on having the "girls" over this morning for our "Healthy Girlfriends Club" but ended up at the doctor's instead.  For the past couple of days I've noticed that my left foot looked a little swollen.  By bedtime last night it was very swollen.  This morning I felt like my leg was swollen - which it was. Another Doppler was ordered for this afternoon but nothing was found to be causing the swelling.  No blood clots - Thank You Jesus!  I had come home and packed my hospital bag before going for the test because I was sure it was another blood clot.

Since it's not a blood clot, my doctor has no idea what is wrong.  He gave me Lasix to take and another appointment on Friday. There's something going on because I also gained 5.8# in one week - I've NEVER done that in my life.  I know I overate a couple days, but not 6 pounds worth!!!!  Prayers would be appreciated - Thanks!

Jess and Brenda went to the Rec Center and spent quite a bit of time in the pool.  They did so many exercises in the pool that Brenda was very tired when they returned.  They also played in the Gym after pool time.  I put Jess to bed awhile ago, but I can still hear her talking!

Jon took me to the doctor's today.  Sort of.  I ended up driving us to the doctors office and home.  He looked worse than I did.  He was exhausted.  The last three 12 1/2 hour days were difficult.  He's already in bed and probably asleep.

Thanks Goes To My Snowmobile Boots

Lois and I spent the day together.  We went to an appointment for her then had lunch.  We drove to Micro Center in Madison Heights and bought a special battery for her lap top computer to take back to Haiti.  I stopped at Kee's Pets for Jon because a couple of his fish had spots and I bought some medicine for them.

After I took Lois home I went to Home Depot where I bought 100 pounds of all-purpose sand.  I had an employee put them in the basket for me and another employee put them in the van.  When I got home I was able to move them from the back of the van to the inside of the garage.  Then I put my snowmobile boots on.  Everything is ice around here and I certainly don't want to fall.  I was able to take out the two large garbage cans for pick up tomorrow.  I have to admit it was hard, but at least I didn't even slip, thanks to my snowmobile boots that have to be at least 25 years old.  Then I scooped dirt on the ice in the drive way where people would need to get out of their car and come to the sidewalk or garage.  We'll see if it helps. I'm pretty pleased with myself for trying and accomplishing such a huge job. Hoorah for me!

A Not So Quiet Day

Well, it began quiet.  I gave Jess a bath then we spent a few minutes praying and singing a couple "Jesus songs" before we went to McDonald's for pancakes and sausage.  That went well - sort of.  The place was packed and at first there was no where to sit.  Two men got up and left so we could sit down.  That was nice of them, otherwise we would have had to eat in the van.  With syrup that would have been a bit sticky.

Jess and I then picked up Lois and brought her to our house so I could help her with her new Kindle and proof read her next prayer letter.  That's when the yelling and crankiness began.  When we went out in the living room to pray, it got much worse and I went to see what was going on.  Jess had gotten on a site on Utube where a teacher in a classroom was abusive.  She was so agitated and upset that I had to hold her to calm her down.  I'm sure it reminded her of the abuse incident in her classroom that began her PTSD many years ago.  That fight ruined our lives from that day forward, as well as the lives of several other young special needs adults.  If I could go back to that day, I would have fought harder to find out what happened and gotten her therapy right away.

Things were better for a couple hours but when we got home from taking Lois back, she began screaming at me.  That lasted hours.  Looking at the calendar, she's right on target to begin her period on Friday.  The week before is usually pretty difficult.  I hope she treats Debbie and Brenda better than she has me this afternoon.

A Pleasant Afternoon Out

Jess and I lazed around this morning, ate breakfast in our pajamas then when Rachel came, Jess got dressed and went downstairs.  I continued to sit in my chair and rest.  In the afternoon I went to one of our Stephen Minister ladies' house for our monthly social get together.  There were 6 of us today.  Jean had the most beautiful cups and saucers for us and served various kinds of tea.  Several of us brought desserts.  Our planned 2 hours turned into 3 and I believe everyone had a good time.  It was a great get together.

I stopped on the way home and bought McDoubles and small fries for our dinner.  I didn't eat lunch, so Jess and I ate an early dinner.  Jon ate when he got home from work.

I have a specific prayer request.  My friend, Lois, has been diagnosed with gout in both hands.  They are swollen and very painful.  She is in the midst of packing up and preparing to go back to her ministry in Haiti.  Please pray that her hands will heal quickly and that there will not be any recurrence of this in Haiti.  Also, there is a scheduling glitch in her returning.  She can get as far as Port-au-Prince but would have to wait for at least a week for a flight north.  Please pray that God would work out those logistics, too.  Thanks.

Another Day Of Packing

Debbie and Jessie went to Dimitri's for breakfast.  Jon and I went to The Pantry then I spent the rest of the day with Lois again packing.  She had a late doctor's appointment then we went to Meijer's before I returned home - along with a rotisserie chicken for dinner.  Once again too tired to do much for dinner.

I'm going to have to find something interesting to blog because my posts are pretty boring - even to me.  Since I still put these into books every three months, I need to think of more interesting things that happen each day that I'll want to read in 10 years - and find interesting.

Packing

While Brenda and Jessie spent the day at the grocery store, lunch and bowling, I was at Lois' helping her pack up items for storage while she's back in Haiti. We worked all day and I plan on going back there tomorrow.  She returns to Haiti on March 4.  I'm not looking forward to that.  Jon had his hair cut then went and bought more items and fish for his aquarium. It looks really nice.

The weather today has been yucky.  Jess told me she heard thunder then said: "Snow all done!  Bye, Bye!"  She's not going to be very happy when it snows again.

The Mobic is working.  I didn't have to take any pain medication last night before bed or when I woke up today.  I took some this afternoon while we were working, but I don't need it tonight either.  I'm finally feeling like I did back in October before surgery.  I am very grateful.  For awhile there it seemed like I would never be out of pain and able to function.  Today seemed like an eternity away.

One thing I learned from my surgery and recuperation was how important it is to rest each day.  Now that I'm feeling better, I need to work on that.  I've never found it easy to rest during the day but I plan on working on it.

Tuesday and Wednesday

I didn't post last night because I was just too tired and in too much pain to care.  That's just the way it was.  Bad, right?  Sorry.  Today was my first day back on the Mobic, which will take a couple days to get level in my system for my pain.  I am so ready to feel better.

Tuesday Jess went swimming with Brenda and played in the gym and had their usual Subway for lunch.  Today, Wednesday, it was just Jess and me.  Debbie is still in Texas.  Jess and I went and had our hair done, we had lunch with Chris, went to the post office and picked up our sewing from Judy's house.  Doreen and Shiloh came and took care of Jessie since I had Stephen Ministry tonight.  Jon had a crappy day at work.  Tomorrow will be much better - he's off.

No More Coumadin !!!!!

Jon took me to see the vascular specialist today after having another Venus Doppler on my legs.  There is only one small blood clot left - behind the knee.  The doctor felt I could stop the Coumadin and begin my Mobic again!  Thank you, Jesus !!!!!!!  That's great news. Hopefully, soon I won't be in as much pain as I've been in for the past 3 months.

Debbie is in Texas so Jane came today to be with Jess.  They went to Ocean Breeze for lunch, Kroger's and the Used Bookstore.  They both had fun together.

The picture is of Jon's first fish tank that has become the living room aquarium because he bought himself a larger one for his bedroom.  There are fish in there - you just can't see them in this picture.  I'm enjoying listening to the water while I'm in the living room or in the kitchen.  It is on a special cabinet that Bill built for Jon's Lord of the Rings figures that Jon painted many years ago.

What A Special Day !!!

Jon's home this weekend so we both were able to go to church, which was really nice.  What wasn't nice were the roads.  Granted I only have to go a short distance, but they were not good.  There were multiple accidents and cars in ditches along the expressway, according to FB friends who traveled the expressway to church.

After church Jon, Jess and I met Julie, Kylee and Lynzee for lunch to celebrate Christmas!  Can you believe it?  It's pathetic when you have to celebrate a holiday a month and a half after the fact.  Anyway, we had a really nice lunch at the Sahara Restaurant.  I would have been in the picture - maybe - if Jon hadn't left early to go to Kee's Pets again to buy aquarium plants and a few fish for his new tank.  From there we went to Menchie's for dessert. Yup, a special celebration.

When Jess and I got home, Chris was in the driveway waiting to visit and use the oven.  She baked a dessert for a funeral at her church tomorrow and was going to take it to a friend who lives in the area because she won't be in town tomorrow.  I always love it when she comes by to visit.  She's a very special friend.

A Great Day Out

It might have been pretty cold, but the sun was shining and I needed to get out of the house.  Jess and I began at the post office then went to our friend Judy's house to give her some sewing to do.  I'm absolutely no good with a needle.  Great with a glue gun, though!

From there we went to Kohl's for a new mattress pad for my bed.  I walked around the entire store.  Then we had drive thru McDonald's and had a "picnic" in the van behind McDonald's.  Walgreen's then Target (walked around the entire store, too!) rounded out our morning/early afternoon.

Jon had stopped at Kee's Pets earlier in the day and he said that there was a really nice fish tank and stand on sale that he would like.  I encouraged him to get it while it was on sale, since he will be getting back Income Tax money.  The 3 of us drove down there and he got a really good deal.  Our friend, Peter, came and helped him carry the two pieces up to his bedroom where it is set up.  The smaller one he bought a couple weeks ago is now in the living room and adds to the room.

Yesterday when I posted the pictures of my kitchen tree, I noticed that there were blinking lights on the second tree.  At first I thought I was seeing things, but, no, they were there.  I posted the pictures and had a comment from my friend, Karla, that she also sees flashing lights.  I'm not sure how that happened or why, but it makes the tree look prettier!

Happy Valentine's Day

Jessie had a wonderful day.  She began with breakfast out with Debbie then home.  At 11:30 they left to go to the Rec Center for an Adult Special Needs Gym Class (new).  I wasn't sure how she'd do because she doesn't do well in large groups, but I wanted her to at least try.

Debbie said that part of the time she was clingy but the rest of the time she did really well and was having a great time.  She got to see Brent, who she went to school with for years.  Brenda was there as a helper.  I'll try to get pictures from Brenda and Debbie and post them in a day or so.

When she got home, she was so wound up and happy.  I haven't seen her this excited in a long time.  She kept talking about the people there.  This thrills my heart.

Jon worked today and I hope he had a good day or at least a half good day.

I decided to take it easy.  I didn't do much.  A couple loads of wash.  iPad.  Nap.  Just didn't feel much like doing anything and since the house was so quiet, I was quiet, too.

You're probably wondering why I have pictures of a tree posted.  I think I mentioned earlier that I've always wanted a tree to decorate for different holidays the year round.  I purchased one from a catalog before Christmas and I've got it decorated with snowmen, heart ornaments and bows.  I like it.

Well, I hope that each one of you had a nice Valentine's Day.  I'm grateful for God's Love that He shows me every day.  How about you?

I've Out Done Myself Today

While Brenda took Jessie grocery shopping, home, out to lunch then bowling, I stayed home and worked on my checkbook, made sugar cookies for Valentine's Day and tonight made meatloaf for dinner.  These accomplishments might seem like nothing, but I have not baked cookies in at least 4/5 years.  Check book?  Well, I was very behind - back to last July.  I'm caught up now.  I won't let that happen again.  Meatloaf?  I made enough for several meals.  I'm freezing portions and will put them in my Food Saver in the morning and back in the freezer for future ready-made meals.  A good day of accomplishments for me, I'd say.

Income Tax - Done

Another important project was marked off my list today.  Jon went with me and I had my taxes done.  For the first time ever, I owe Federal but get a small amount back from State.  Not what I was hoping for, but one should never count their chickens before they hatch, so to speak.

From that appointment, Jon needed blood work and I had to have an xray to check on the pneumonia.  We ate lunch at Red Robin, went to Kee's Pets, the post office and home.  Now I'm working on balancing my checkbook from 2013 with bank statements.  Did I mention earlier that I did get Jessie's report in the mail on Monday?  I'm cranking out the paperwork this week.  It feels good.

Debbie and Jess stayed home today and did paperwork and Jess made us a Valentine's Day card.

The Healthy Living Girlfriends

I had a SM Leader's meeting this morning, so we were unable to meet at my house for our accountability group.  I've named us "THE HEALTHY LIVING GIRLFRIENDS".  Not only are we keeping each other accountable for weight loss, it is for healthy living all around.  One of our topics that we discussed today was getting enough sleep and Sabbath rest.

Our group met at Applebee's for lunch.  They have a good-sized  menu for Weight Watchers, as well as for calorie counters.  It was nice to get out with this group and have fun outside our usual meeting and discussing our book we are reading.  We are also using texting as a tool of group encouragement for each other during the week.  One of the gals asked for special prayer when she was going somewhere this week where there was going to be tons of desserts.  She needed to make healthy choices.  This week she lost almost 5#.  Way to go!

Healthy Choices.  That's what life is all about.  We constantly make choices every day that have an affect on our day, as well as our future.  It's a battle, and I'm glad I have girlfriends who will go on this journey with me to make healthy choices.  This week the group's (5) total weight loss was 10 pounds.

Brenda took Jess to the pool and she did really well and had a lot of fun.  They left and had Subway for lunch and returned to the Rec Center to play in the gym.  However, when they got home, Jess was super crabby.  She's better right now.  Just singing at the top of her lungs with the Cedarmont Kids on Utube.

Jon had the day off.  He went to the bank, got gas, went out to breakfast, then bought some fish for his new fish tank he bought last week.  A good day for him, too.

Back To Girls Day Out

Since Debbie returned she has been working full time on Mondays, so the 3 of us can have lunch together if my schedule "allows" it.  Today we went to McDonald's and ate inside.  Then Debbie took me home so I could continue working on income tax stuff while they went to Target.  Jess has had another good day, which is evident from the constant talking she has done from the time they got home until now (9:11 p.m).

Before I began paperwork, I had to make a phone call to Brenda to talk to her about tomorrow.  I called her cell phone, waited while it was ringing, she picked up but the next voice I heard was, "HI, MOM!"  I was stunned and confused.  I knew I had called Brenda, Jessie was with Debbie, so how does Jessie answer the phone?  Then there was laughter in the back ground and I figured I'd been had.  Yup.  While in Target, Debbie and Jessie saw Brenda and I happened to call at the same time they were visiting and Brenda thought it would be funny to have Jess say, "HI, MOM!"  Not funny to an already confused person!

We're on our way upstairs and I have to write out checks that should have been written on Friday.  I've been so consumed with Jessie's report and income taxes that I forgot to pay bills!  Like I said - a very confused and forgetful person.

Celebrating With JoAnne

Because of my surgeries and many complications, then Jessie's illness and mine, we were not able to celebrate Christmas or JoAnne's January birthday until today.  Jess and I took her out to lunch at the Hamlin Pub.  We had a delicious lunch, a nice visit then we had dessert at Menchie's.  Even though it was VERY noisy in the Pub, Jess did really well.  We sat in a corner all by ourselves.  Other than a baby shower in the side rooms, there wasn't many people in there.  However, there was one big table with several little kids, but they were on the other side of the room.  They were eating pizza, and it looked really good!

When we got home, I completed the DHS Medicaid report that was due last Monday.  I'll mail it in the morning - for sure!  This is the one that I messed up on last year.  I made sure I went over my numbers and attached documents many times to make sure I didn't make a mistake.

Tomorrow we need to put the garbage cans out to the street for garbage pick up on Tuesday morning.  Here's a picture of Jon making a "run way" for the garbage cans (a couple days ago) that are up by the house.  The pick up is in the back of the house.  He usually uses the snow blower, but this particular snow fall of a couple inches was pretty light.

My Day Out

Jess and I had our breakfast upstairs before Rachel came.  I left and went to the post office, Michael's, Kee's Pets, Ocean Breeze, Vince and Joe's and Meijer's for gas.  At Ocean Breeze I joined Jess, Rachel and Jane for lunch.  That was nice.  I haven't seen Jane in quite a while.  Jess was happy because she always gets the chicken strip meal with cole slaw that Rachel orders but gives to Jess!  We all had a great meal and good conversation.

Today, up to dinner time, was the best physical day I've had since my surgery.  Thank you, Jesus!!!!! For all the stuff I did today out, I felt really good.  Unfortunately, I ate too many clementines for snack and that upset my stomach and my back started to spasm while I was cleaning up dinner.  Oh, well.  That's not too bad.

Jess Stayed Home - I Went Out

Well, Jess did have breakfast out first with Debbie and Jessie's case worker, Kelly.  They meet once a month at breakfast.  When they got home I took the van and picked up Lois, had a doctor's appointment, went to Applebee's for lunch and then Sam's Club.  Half way through the store, I was done.  I had decided to walk, which wasn't a problem.  I just got a bit sick and had to get an electric amigo to complete my shopping.  That was discouraging.  It was a very nice day out with Lois, though.  We haven't done that in quite some time.  She'll be returning to Haiti in less than a month, and I sure will miss her a lot.  Again.

Jessie's Having More Fun Than I Am !!!

Jess and Brenda went to Meijer's.  They bought groceries and Jess also returned a lot of empty pop cans.  She does well with putting in the bottles in the machine.  Brenda bought us Lean Cuisine lunches and we had lunch together.  Then they made home made popcorn in the popcorn maker Jon bought Jessie (a year ago!) and took it for a snack at bowling in the afternoon.

What did I do?  Income tax paperwork. I got to open the door several times for the dog and get a breath of fresh air.  That's about it.

Jon got his Income Tax done today.  He also did a bit of shopping.  When he got home he shoveled out the backyard garbage can "run way" and got the snow off our huge bushes in the front of the house.  Heavy snow isn't good for them, as the bushes separate and don't grow right after that.  There was a Jon funny today:  as he came in the house from shoveling he said to me: "You know?  I'm not that old, but I can't remember this much snow - ever!"   Well, I'm old(er) and I can't remember having this much snow either.

Say, WHAT?

Jessie was in the downstairs bathroom and I was in the laundry room that is through one of the bathroom doors.  Jess finished in there, opened the door, walked toward me and said (and very clearly I might add), "Shit, shit, shit!"  I was so stunned I just looked at her and wondered if I should react?  I decided not to, in hopes that she would forget that word.  Highly unlikely, but that was the first time she's ever said it, and I don't know where she would have heard it.

Jess and I watched Mary Poppins tonight.  She made it through 3/4 of the movie.  Saving Mr. Banks now makes sense.  I couldn't help sing along with most of the songs, which Jessie liked.  Especially the one about the kite.  That had special meaning in Saving Mr. Banks.  I hope you have had the chance to see it.  It's a very good movie.

Jessie's Day Out

Brenda took Jessie to the gym, picked up lunch at Subway, then met a group of Special Needs adults for lunch at the township hall.  They danced afterwards, but all Jess would do was sit in her chair and raise her arms and wave them.  That's more than I thought she would do.

I worked on Income Tax stuff.  It's all done except for medical, which I will work on tomorrow.  For those of you who are math whizzes, you'll notice (yesterday) that I made a math error in relating to you how much my pillow cost.  I refigured it on a calculator (I should have done that in the first place) and my $26.99 pillow cost $1.04 plus tax.

Out All Day

I left this morning at 8:50 a.m. and returned to stay at 4:30 p.m.  I was totally exhausted.  I had a meeting this morning until 11:00.  Then I went and had a pedicure (no polish) because I had an ingrown toenail that was hampering my walking, to say the least.  (Just what you wanted to know, right?)  Yesterday I stubbed my toe and that wasn't pleasant.  Anyway, from there I met Jon for lunch.  Then I went to the bank, Kohl's and the post office.

At Kohl's I bought a brown oblong pillow, exactly like one I already have but this one is for upstairs for under my knees when I sit in my chair.  It was regularly $26.99 with 50% off.  Then I had a 15% coupon and $10.00 Kohl's bucks.  So, my pillow was just over $2.00.  I LOVE to shop like that!

I was home for about a half hour then Debbie, Jess and I went to an endocrinologist appointment for Jess.  Her liver function that was extremely high in the hospital is now normal, as determined from the blood work done last Friday. Thank you, Jesus!

We stopped at Target on the way home to get some munchies for my SM meeting Wednesday night.  That is, unless it's cancelled because of our next big snow storm coming.  I have beautiful snowman dinner plates (and etc.) that I enjoy using in January and February, but I just couldn't bring myself to put them out this year. I should though; they're really nice.

Lois came for dinner then we prayed.  This is a very special time between friends.  We have been doing this every Monday, that we could, for years and years when she is in Michigan.  Right now she is schedule to return to Haiti the first of March.  I'm not looking forward to that.  I miss her a lot when she's gone.

A Flashback Picture

I couldn't resist posting a picture from January 12, 2013.  That's right.  Jess was swinging in her hammock in her light winter jacket on that day.  Today Jon spent quite awhile using the snow blower to get us dug out of yet another snowfall.  Thanks to his hard work, we are now able to get the garbage cans out to the road.  It's been a couple weeks.  I just looked at the Comcast weather news and saw that another storm is being predicted for Tuesday night.

We didn't go to church today.  I watched a family try to leave the street behind us and it took them quite awhile just to get a few feet and when they did, they just backed up to their home.  The man came back with his snow blower to clean out the intersection. I wasn't about to try it and get stuck somewhere.

I also wanted to share the picture below. Last night I was sitting on the opposite couch from Jess and she was on her iPad singing Jesus songs.  I looked up and she had propped a pillow up so that I couldn't see her. It's a wonder she didn't tell me to go to the living room!

Today Jon came downstairs and said that he was bored.  He's been up and down stairs numerous times.   I felt the same way.  I read some, took 2 naps, and began working on 2013 pictures that I am very behind in putting in albums.  Chris came and dropped off some Mary Kay for friends and Jess played all day on the floor with her Perler beads, Apples to Apples cards and iPad.

At one time in the afternoon I asked Jessie if she'd like to do a craft with me.  "No thank you!" was her reply.  Then I asked if she wanted to play a game with me.  Again, "No thank you".  I guess I shouldn't expect anything different.  I didn't want to spend time with my mom when I was her age (23) either.  I sure wish I could spend time with her now, though.  I miss her a lot.

Snow, Snow and More Snow

It's been really beautiful outside with huge snowflakes. The pine trees are laden with fluffy snow.  It looks like a post card.  At one time I went and opened the small garage door, looked up and saw such a gorgeous sight.  I praised God for such a beautiful snowfall.  I tried to catch some big snowflakes, but since I'm still wearing shorts for my knee, it was too cold and wet to step outside.  Poor Jon has a big job ahead of him tomorrow as he snowblows the driveways and a path from the garbage cans to the street in the back. It also rained and is in the 30's now (a heat wave) so I hope it doesn't crust over by morning.

Jessie spent part of her morning in her room making a mess again with her videos.  She had breakfast and lunch upstairs today and enjoyed herself. Right now she's singing children's "Jesus Songs" on her iPad.  I love hearing her sing.  She can't carry a tune, but that doesn't stop her.  She doesn't get every word either, but she knows quite a few songs by heart.

I don't think I came downstairs until after 3:00 today.  I did paperwork and watched last week's Hallmark episode I missed.  I also got caught up on fixing things with the hot glue gun.  They were piling up in the office.  My days just go by so fast.

Jon watched tv, worked in his office, played on the iPad and basically just did a bunch of nothing.  He looked very tired all day.
