Happy 4th of July

A very quiet day. Jon worked about an hour in his garden early this morning before it got too hot, bringing in sugar snap peas, romaine lettuce, strawberries, and shelling peas. Jessie slept until 10:00, although she had been up for an hour or so earlier. I continued reading another book from a new author to me. After our "in-the-house picnic", Jon and I watched a couple vet programs. Jessie is still on her iPad. He arm pit is less red and she's not AS crabby as she's been. We've had a few fireworks around the neighborhood this afternoon. I wonder how much we'll have tonight. It's usually pretty intense.
