A Long Day

Bill and I arrived at the doctor's office for his day of chemo at 8:30 a.m.  A little early for the 9:00 appointment but I wasn't sure what the roads would be like.  The nurse took us back at 9:00 but couldn't get a blood draw no matter what was tried.  She gave him a medication that breaks up any clots and a half-hour later, she got blood!

Infusion began at 10:00 a.m. and he was finished at 4:30 p.m.  A long day, but not bad.  Since we changed our day to Wednesday, there was a new group of people we had never seen before.  Met a very nice couple at the end of the day.  Maybe we'll meet sometime and encourage one another.

Bill played on the iPad, finished listening to his book that he began several months ago and played Sudoku.  I finished one book and began another, looked through and read two magazines, went up and down the hall to the restroom many times and downstairs for breakfast and lunch.  Took a nap and about broke my neck.  Right now Bill's asleep on the couch.  The fatigue begins almost immediately after chemo.  Thanks for praying for us.
