Jess and I did our normal Sunday morning routine with breakfast upstairs. Then we came downstairs and I did a couple loads of wash and sat and read a book. Every once in awhile I would go upstairs and work on Jessie's bedroom. I can only do so much at once. It's amazing what one can do with 15 minutes here and 15 minutes there. Jess occupied herself like she always does with her beads, cards and iPad. No videos or DVD's today. Jon had a good day at work.
Whenever I address Jess she's quick to remind me that she prefers JESSIE, and NEVER Jessica. If we are in a doctor's office and they say, "Jessica", she'll holler: "NO, Jessie!" She's too funny.

The Report Is Done And In the Mail !!!
I finished the Medicaid report this morning and Jess and I dropped it off at the post office on our way to Target this afternoon. For a switch, we had lunch in their eatery. We had a hot dog. It was really good. That's because it was a "real" hot dog and not the pretend ones we eat at home.
Unfortunately, when we were in line to pay, Jess had a melt down and sobbed. There were at least 100 babies and kids there and some were not so quiet. Poor kid. She couldn't wait to get home.
Rachel came and watched Jess while I went to Wales, MI, for a party put on by my cousin, Linda's, son Nazih and his wife Marie. They host this party every year for family, friends and coworkers.

I Am SOOOO Tired !!!
Jessie doesn't appear any better or worse since having the shot yesterday and being on Amoxicillin. She slept in this morning until after 9:00 a.m. and hasn't stopped since. Debbie and Jessie went to breakfast then Meijer's grocery shopping. Jess also spent time in her hammock this afternoon.
I did paperwork - yet again. I have the DHS - Medicaid report due July 1. Around 1:00 p.m. I went to the post office, bank to get proof of Jessie's accounts, Subway for lunch, Kohl's to pay a bill and look for a couple button down the front shirts that I will need when I have my surgery. Speaking of surgery, the doctor's office called and changed my surgery to August 12. One week later than I had planned. The bad thing is that it is Jon's heavy week. I was hoping he wouldn't have to take time off of work for me.
When Debbie left, Jessie and I went to Doreen's to drop off something, then go to the Chrysler dealer to have a wire unhooked - a recall that the part is not in for. Then we picked up Debbie at the Chevrolet Dealer and we went to McDonald's for a drive thru snack then took her home. It was almost 5:30 when we got home and I had promised Jess and Jon I'd make homemade macaroni and cheese for dinner so I had to make it. I just got out of the kitchen a half hour ago. I really am tired.
Jon slept in this morning, cut the grass then went to the show. We just sat down to dinner when he got home. Unfortunately, his 2 weeks off has come to an end. He will be working for the next 3 days. He's going to be tired, that's for sure!

"Oh, I Like This Feeling!"
Those were Jon's words as he was coming out of having been given propofol for his EGD and colonoscopy this morning. Too funny. He didn't even care he was in a pretty aqua gown. I didn't mention last night that he was preparing for his test today because I didn't think he'd want anyone to know. However, I asked him if I could use this picture on my blog and he said OK. I'm not sure he remembers, though! I've got to get this on quick before he comes downstairs.
That's how my day began. Waiting for him to have his tests. Brenda arrived at 7:45 a.m. because we needed to be at the surgery center at 9:00 a.m. We were home by noon.
I spent the next couple of hours making phone calls to doctors offices for various appointments and bills then I took Jessie to the doctor at 3:00. She just hasn't been right in the past couple of weeks. Coughing, choking, clearing her throat. It's really hard to tell if she's sick sometimes. Never a fever and no other signs of anything. Today's diagnosis: severely swollen and abscessed right tonsil. She had a shot in the butt - not her favorite thing to do and was given an antibiotic. We were very close to being sent to the ER, except she doesn't act sick and doesn't have a temp. Please pray with me that the antibiotics heal this abscess and the swelling goes down quickly, or we will be in the hospital. Your prayers are appreciated.
Did I mention I'm tired?

BEAUTIFUL !!!!
I can honestly say that a man said "Beautiful!" to me today. However, he was an eye doctor looking into my eyes! Oh, well! I'll take beautiful regarding the insides of my eyes. Having to have my eyes dilated never makes me feel good for hours after. Jon drove me and when I got home I ate lunch and put a mask on my eyes and took a nap. When I awoke I was much better. That was my day.

P A P E R W O R K
Yup. That's what I've done today for hours. Am I done? Almost. I'm very pleased, though, with how much I have accomplished. I received another DHS report for Medicaid that needs to be done for Jessie in the next couple of days, so that will keep me busy getting all the information together.
Brenda took Jessie to the pool, Subway for lunch and Meijer's. Jon went and got an estimate of the damage done to his jeep, which will probably be over $1,000.00. He cleaned his fish tank upstairs and has gone to the show tonight. Jess and I are headed upstairs.

Sunday and Monday
Yesterday was a whirl-wind day. Jon went to first service and I went to the second. It was a healing service and scores went forward for various healings. It was a great service. When it was finished I went and picked up the kids and took them to lunch. We received a blessing: someone paid for our meal! Please bless that person, Lord!
After we ate I had enough time to put up a seat in the van, prepare my smaller purse and rest for 10 minutes before Chris, Debbie and Marilyn arrived. We left at 3:00 p.m. and had dinner at TGI Friday's in Rochester - near I-75. Then we went to the DTE Music Theatre to see: Capital Kings, David Crowder, TobyMac and Chris Tomlin !!!!!!
The concert began at 6:00 p.m. and ended at 11:00 p.m. It was really great. Awesome, in fact. I did have to buy ear plugs, though, for Capital Kings - they were over the top, way too loud. You felt it through your body. I wouldn't be surprised if the impact would have either stopped or started someone's pace maker! We got home at midnight - thus, no blog!
Today Jon and I took Memphis to the vet to get his yearly "poop check", shots, ear medicine, blood work and heart worm medicine - a total of $255.00 !!!! That was a bit much. The only good news is that since we changed him to the Prescription RD diet, he's lost 4 pounds.
Post Office, home to return Memphis, breakfast out and Sam's Club. I think Jon chilled in his bedroom and I took an hour's nap before Debbie had to leave. Jessie's wound up tonight - doesn't seem tired at all. She shouldn't, as she fell asleep on the couch at 6:00 p.m. last night and was in bed at 8:00 sound asleep, until around 8:00 this morning. This afternoon when she was in her hammock swing, she fell asleep again for quite some time.

Today's Post ... Saturday, June 21
Before you read this post, I've posted Wednesday's, Thursday's and Friday's below. Catch up on us first.
Jess was up this morning at 6:40 a.m. but the rest of us slept until almost 9:00 a.m. We all got dressed, packed and ready to go to breakfast. Jess was playing on the iPad and I caught her several times sleeping sitting up. She actually does this often. She'll wake up at night, sit up in bed and go back to sleep.
Jon left before we did and arrived home a couple hours before we did. We had breakfast at McDonald's, which was right next door to the motel. Lunch was in Davison and we arrived home around 4:00 p.m.
Everything is put away, one load of wash is done, my eyes are burning and I'm ready for bed! Thank you, Jesus, for a great weekend and may you bless Jacob and Hannah's life together.

Friday, June 20 ... Congratulations Jacob and Hannah !!!!
Friday morning a lady from Jacob's church provided a breakfast for all the guys in the wedding. Jess, Chris and I went to a restaurant because we slept in and missed the free hotel breakfast. From there we went to a Good Will store and an antique store. I showed Chris the harbor and the old town and we stopped for an ice cream.
We went back to the hotel, rested a bit, then got dressed to go to the wedding. I wanted to share pictures with you of the evening.
The picture of Jon, Jess and Jacob is my favorite. If you can zoom in on Jessie's face you will see the most beautiful smile I've ever seen on her face. And, she looked so pretty in her dress. She's not worn one for years and years!
Jess wouldn't go inside the sanctuary so she sat in the hallway with my iPad and Chris stood in the doorway watching the wedding. When it was finished, we got in the van, drove around the side of the building and parked on the lower level which avoided stairs and an elevator that I knew Jessie wouldn't do. We were one of the first ones in the room so it helped to be seated before the rest of the guests came in to the room.
We made it through dinner but after the last bite of cake, Jess was OUT OF THERE! We sat right in front of a door in case I needed a quick escape. I just didn't think she'd use it!
I'm sure my friend, Sherry, in Georgia, who also has a daughter with Down Syndrome will be able to relate to all the preparations and thought put into an outing with our daughters. I also have to admit that I gave Jess 2 Ativan and put liquid Xanax on her neck. I rarely use them, but I wanted her (and me) to have a nice time.
Jess also knows what a promise is. When you promise, you do it. Last weekend I went to a graduation party and she did NOT want to go. She actually got hysterical. So, I said she could stay home and Rachel could come over, BUT next weekend she had to go to Jacob's wedding and the dinner. She agreed and I reminded her of this all weekend. When she got in the van after the dinner I hugged her a lot and thanked her for keeping her promise and being there with me. I told her how much I enjoy being with her and I had a great time with her.
Thursday, June 19
I finished packing and Jess and I left at 11:30 and we went and picked up Chris. She went along with me to help with Jess in case Jess couldn't handle the wedding or dinner. I so appreciate her willingness to do this for me.
We arrived in Grand Haven about 4:00 p.m. and I had an hour or so before I prepared to meet the wedding party and other guests at the Rehearsal Dinner. (Chris watched Jess for me at the hotel and they had pizza and salad delivered to the room.) It was such an honor for me to be invited. When we got back we visited for a bit - we had adjoining rooms and Jon told me what he had done that day. He drove up to Muskegon and toured a WWII ship, a submarine and a museum. He had a very nice day.

Wednesday, June 18th Blog
I wasn't able to blog on Wednesday evening because I was simply exhausted. The day did NOT go as planned. At all. I had planned on going to just one store and getting a watch battery for my blingy watch, then pack for a couple days in Grand Haven. I did go to that store, but later as I was making a phone call, my phone quit. Not good, because we were scheduled to leave in the morning. Jon left early in the day to spend time with Jacob and Hannah before their wedding on Friday.
Jon, Debbie and I ended up at the Apple Store. Thankfully, they were NOT too busy, so they were able to take care of me right away. Usually, you have to make an appointment for service. I also mentioned that I was DESPERATE! What was wrong with it? I had never updated to the new software and the phone couldn't handle the old operating system with new commands, or something like that.
While we were in the store, it started looking quite bad out. We got home JUST in time. We walked in the house - the power went out - and the storm hit. Then the sirens went off. We went for the closet. I am not a fan of storms, especially when the power goes out. Anyway, the storm wasn't as bad as some got, but my problem was not having any power and having to leave in the morning.
Thankfully, Debbie stayed and helped me get the generator hooked up to the sump pumps and refrigerator before she left. Usually, Jon does this, but since he wasn't home - I was on my own. We did it and Jess and I just had sandwiches for dinner. The power was out for about 3 hours then I had to reverse everything. By the time I was done, I was hardly able to walk. I spent about an hour or so packing and getting ready to leave in the early afternoon.
Thus, no blog.

Jessie's Day
Brenda returned after being gone a week preparing for her daughter's graduation party. She took Jessie to the Rec Center and they went swimming. Next was Subway, Stony Creek and Meijer's. Brenda said that she conked out completely after lunch on way to the park. Even snoring. She's been asking to go upstairs to bed since 6:30. I've held her off until now, but when I'm done here, we'll go up stairs.
The other day Debbie said that we should apply to be restaurant/food critics with Jessie. Tonight's dinner got an "Mmmmmm". No thumbs up, although her plate was empty, and it was even chicken!

What A Day!
Debbie brought breakfast this morning for us and Jess gave it "1 thumb up". What I wanted you to notice in the picture is how she sits at the table all the time - with her legs crossed and her toes curled up on top of the table. It almost looks like she's clinging to it to stay upright. Pretty funny.
I woke with a migraine again today which is so unusual. Since I've gotten into essential oils, I put Deep Blue on my forehead, neck and behind my ears. Plus I took 2 Tylenol. It took several hours but it finally left. I managed to write out the month's checks and do several loads of wash.
I went to the post office and then got the car washed at Mr. C's Car Wash. I will NEVER clean my own vehicle again. It only cost $15.50 to get the car washed and totally cleaned inside. There were so many fellows working on my van they looked like a swarm of ants. It's as clean as it was when it was brand new. So worth the money.
I had a 3:00 doctor's appointment to have another ultra sound on my leg to check the blood clot then see the doctor. Jon went with me and we got there about 2:45 and left at 5:20 !!!! Jon said: "I like to spend time with you, but ..." I had the ultra sound, looked at Facebook, played a game on my phone, read an entire People magazine and then took a nap. I was going to let the doctor know I didn't appreciate waiting 2 hours to see him, but the first words out of his mouth was an apology for the wait, so I couldn't say anything.
The doctor said that everything looks really good. I still have remnants of the blood clot in one vein and it may go away and it may not. However, there is good blood flow in my veins. That's always nice.
We left the hospital knowing it was not a good time to travel home, but I didn't expect it to take us an hour for a 20 minute drive! That was so frustrating. There are several ways to get home and I took many different roads because back ups were for miles. Down town Utica on Auburn was closed which made it even worse. I really am ready to just sit and do nothing.

A Lazy Day
Jess and I hung out upstairs until after noon today. We had our traditional Sunday breakfast then she got a bath and the works (toe nails, finger nails, shaved legs). If you were anywhere near our house during this time, I'm sure you would have heard her, as she screams as if I'm killing her when I cut her toe nails. It's always been like that. I just "love" the screams in my ear.
I wrote some checks, rearranged a flower stand (isn't this exciting), we ate lunch on the deck in the middle of a windy afternoon. Jess occupied herself as she always does - with her iPad, cards and beads. I sat on the couch and was also on my iPad then took a nap.
Brenda invited us to dinner at their house today but Jessie had a major meltdown when I told her about it. She did NOT want to go there and she did NOT want to leave the house. So, we stayed home. It would have been nice for me, but she was so upset I couldn't make her do something that would cause her more trauma.
Jon worked this weekend and now has a week's vacation plus another week where they have him off - so, two whole weeks off. He should have been scheduled for at least 1 day that week, but he's certainly not going to tell them!

Waiting For Fireworks
Jon's in bed hoping he can fall asleep before the fireworks begin. Jessie's on her iPad and I'm figuring out what I'd like to read about today in 10 years or so.
Jess and I had a girls day out. We went to the post office, bank, Walgreen's, and a couple other stops before we went to Meijer's grocery shopping. Even though it's hard for Jessie to walk around the store with so many people, she did pretty good. There were even too many people and babies for me today. Anyway, she does an excellent job of scanning all the items. I bag and she scans. We're a team!
Rachel came for awhile around dinner time and I went to Brenda's daughter, Jessica's graduation party. I had a nice time and sat with some friends from church. Jessie absolutely refused to go. No party for her!
Well, fireworks should begin in about 5 minutes. More tomorrow!

Shopping
Debbie, Jessie, Jon and I went to breakfast this morning then Jon went on to make several stops and we went to Penney's looking for a dress for me for Jacob's wedding. Unfortunately, shopping with Jessie was a mistake. She was very loud, upset, loud, whiney, wandering off, and very upset in the mall. Debbie did a great job trying to redirect her but I about lost it. It really upsets me when she goes out and has such loud reactions to people and places. We also took her to the Crocs store and bought her a new pair of Crocs to match the purse she got for her birthday. That place was packed with lots of kids, too, although she did pretty good there. I guess summer time is not the best time to take her shopping. She likes her new bright blue shoes.
Jon went to Kohl's looking for a shirt for the rehearsal and dinner. He bought a shirt (regularly $26.00) for $9.99 and a package of K-Cups (regularly $17.99) for $10.99. Total was $20.98. However, he had my $10.00 Kohl's bucks, and $5.00 Kohl's special Father's Day cash plus 20 percent off. His total? $4.92. Now that's shopping!
When we got home Jon had already cut the lawn. We then worked together cutting branches off an elderberry tree that hangs over our sidewalk and dumps fruit on the ground. I felt good about being able to do yard work today without any problems. I did use my left hand/arm more than my right, though.

Texting
Last night I wanted to finish the book I was reading, The Wedding Letters by Jason F. Wright, sequel to The Wednesday Letters. (By the way, both books were really good! I especially liked the first one, but the second was great, too! Read them if you get a chance.)
At 12:39 a.m. I get a Photo Stream notification from my sister, and I asked her why she was still awake:
Di: Thought you might like the animals photo stream. Why are you still awake?
Me: Want to finish my book. Sweet dreams.
At 1:25 a.m. I get a notification that she has played Letterpress and I text her: "Go to sleep!"
Di: You, too!
Me: I just finished the book and am in bed.
Di: OK, me 2
Me: I send her a picture of a sleeping face.
Di: She sends me a picture of what I thought was a sheep at first, but it turns out to be a ram!
By this time I'm laughing so hard I was afraid I'd wake the kids so I didn't respond. This morning:
Me: You count rams?
Di: Sure when I can't find the sheep.
If you're not laughing, that's OK. When I have this blog printed I'll have this conversation forever. It'll remind me how much I appreciate texting and how close it makes me feel to Diane. Especially when both of us should have been asleep!

Migraine
Well, there's not much to say when I've spent most of the day with a migraine. I woke up with it which is very unusual. I used to have migraines weekly from age 12 until I retired in 2000. I rarely get a headache anymore but when I do, I can't seem to work through them. My mood was like the weather - very overcast and icky.

A Busy Day
Our SM Leader's meeting for today was cancelled last month then reinstated yesterday. Brenda is off this week preparing for her daughter's graduation party and Debbie had a doctor's appointment, so Jess went with me. We came prepared with her iPad, a magazine, a workbook and an I Spy Book. She did better than I expected. Debbie picked her up half way through the meeting and they spent the afternoon doing stuff around the house.
After my meeting I:met Jon for lunch. After he dropped off his jeep at home, we went together to several places: the vet's for Memphis' special diet food, Chris' work to pick up folded prayer letters for Lois and some home made broccoli soup, a friend's house who gave Jessie a lot of videos and DVD's, Tim Horton's for a drink, Hallmark, Radio Shack, another friend's house for fruit, and the post office. I must say I was tired when we got home. It was nice, though, spending time with Jon. I am blessed that my son enjoys my company and vice versa.

Haircuts
After breakfast and an hour or so of paperwork, Jess and I went and got our hair cut. We stopped off at Judy's to have Jessie's dress altered (for an up-coming wedding that she absolutely does not want to go to), the post office and home. I had just enough time to complain about how fast the day flew by when I left again for dinner with the "Glory Girls". I got home around 8:30 and found Jessie already in bed and right now she's asleep. She was a pill this afternoon. I told Jon "I need to be rescued!", but then I changed it: "I need to be stranded - alone - on an island for a couple days!" It takes quite a bit for me to be overwhelmed with Jessie's constant chatter and today I reached my limit half way through the day. I long for peace and quiet each night and tonight she's asleep early. I think I'll go sit on the deck for a little while and enjoy it since she's already asleep.

A Busy Sunday
Jon went to church, Jess and I had our traditional Sunday breakfast upstairs, then I went to church. I picked up Jon and Jessie after church and we met Chris, Sean and Ashley at the Chinese restaurant for lunch. Jon took Jessie home and I went with Chris down to Office Depot to get Lois' prayer letters run. While waiting we shopped at FCS. With my coupons, rewards and gift card, I bought 4 regular priced books (each $14.99) for only $15.00. Now that's how I like to shop! I treated us to a Wendy's frosty and ice tea then we picked up the copies and came home. When Chris left I went to Peter T's graduation party. Jon was kind to watch Jessie for me today. Now I'm ready for bed myself. I think the smoke from the bon fire burned my eyes a bit.

Happy 24th Birthday, Jessie !!!
Yesterday was Jessie's birthday party day. When Jess turned 21 I wanted to do something special for her, so I took her to the Hampton Inn for the night. We got a suite and invited a few people for pizza, salad and cake, and Jane and Rachel joined us for the night. That began a tradition.
Today, June 7, Jess turned 24, so last night we went to the Hampton Inn (our 4th year in a row). As soon as we get to any hotel, Jess picks her bed and gets out her letter tiles, iPad or DVD player and settles in. That's her favorite thing to do in a hotel.
After we unloaded and got settled in, Debbie, Jess and I went to the pool. We had it all to ourselves for about a half hour. Then, wouldn't you know it, a mom and her 3 kids came in. They were super loud and the mom was trying to get the toddler to swim and he was crying, which set Jessie off and she yells: "BAD MOM!" That was it for her. I took her back to the hotel room.
At 6:00, Louie's delivered pizza and antipasto salad, and we had chips, pop and cake. Diane, Randie, Debbie, Brenda, Jane, Rachel, and Jon were there for dinner. We used the general eating area for our party. They are very accommodating at the Hampton Inn.
Jessie's choice for a cake this year was a Princess cake. I was lazy and didn't go to Sam's club to get our usual cake but went to Meijer's instead. I ordered the cake on Wednesday, and when Debbie and Jessie went to pick it up yesterday afternoon, the order had been lost. I went to Meijer's and brought my receipt and they made one for me. The one nice thing about it was that they cut the cost in half.
When we finished eating, we (except Jon) went to the room and Jessie opened her presents. She LOVES to open presents, that's for sure. Then she settled on the bed and the rest of us sat and visited for quite awhile. It was fun for all of us.
When everyone else left, Jane, Rachel, Jess and I played Apples 2 Apples until Jess and Rachel went to bed then Jane and I played Banana Grams.
This morning we packed up and went down to breakfast, which is always good, then we went to the pool. Unfortunately, Jess wouldn't even go in the door, as the same family was in the pool again. I could see the emotions playing on her face. I knew she really wanted to go in the pool, but she was afraid of the boys. I felt sorry for her. We came back to the room and she laid on the bed and watched uTube videos.
Check out wasn't until noon, which is very generous, and we finally left around 11:30. From the looks of our luggage cart, you would have thought we were there for a week!
Jess and I went to the post office then home. I unloaded everything then we got back in the van and went to the bank and McDonald's for an in-the-van picnic. That's what she wanted, so birthday girl got it, which also included a hot fudge sundae that we ate first.
Jon went to the show this morning and after we all got back, Jon and I presented Jess with our presents. I had put them in a very large Christmas bag, and when she looked inside she said very loud: "THANK YOU, JESUS!" Jon and I both laughed. As if she hadn't gotten a lot of presents last night!
By this time I was very tired so I sat on the couch to use my iPad, but slept for 3 hours instead. Jon can't get over the fact that no matter how long of a nap I take in the afternoon, I never have trouble going to sleep at night. I'm thankful. My mom always said to me: "There must be something wrong with you!" That was my mom for ya.

A Day At Home
Brenda and Jessie were out all day with the van, so I was home all day. They went grocery shopping, home, gym class, Burger King, and a couple other stops. Brenda mentioned that Jess was happy today but really wound up. I told her I expected as much, since tomorrow is her birthday party day at the hotel and Saturday is her 24th birthday. She's always hyper before a big event. And her birthday is a big event.
I did quite a few odds and ends, washed clothes and even had a chance to eat lunch and dinner on the deck, it was such a beautiful day. Tonight I went to a doTERRA Make and Take class. I joined deTERRA about a month ago and I am slowly learning how to use essential oils. We made 5 different items tonight: Marinade for meat, bbq cleaner, insect repellent, first aid roll on , and sunscreen. It was fun and very informative.

Preparing For Jessie's Birthday
Jon and I went to breakfast this morning then the post office and bank. I dropped him off at home and spent the next several hours shopping for Jessie's birthday, which is Saturday. She wants a princess cake so I ordered one at Meijer's. She wants her traditional hotel birthday dinner: Louie's pizza, antipasto salad, chips and pop. I ordered that. I also went to Kohl's for some gifts and Home Depot for a furnace filter. (At least I'm remembering that it needs changing each time we switch from heat to air.)
I was very tired when I got home but I was glad that I got enough gifts. For Jessie it's "ten presents!" It's hard to buy for someone that's going to be 24 years old and likes kids toys, games, but yet adult stuff, too. Thankfully, we have a great dollar store near us that has quality items. Between Jon and I, she'll get her ten presents.
I have another prayer request. My niece, Sara, is in the ER with an absess on her tonsils. She's 26 years old and has been very ill since last Sunday. They are not sure if they will be doing surgery in the morning. It has swollen so much she has difficulty breathing. Your prayers are appreciated.

Back To The Pool
Since my fall yesterday, I figured today was as good as a day as any to go back to the pool and walk the lazy river. I went along with Brenda and Jessie and "worked out" in the pool for about an hour, while they had fun playing. Ten minutes in the hot tub was the highlight for me. It felt good on my shoulder. Jon picked me up at noon and we went to file our yearly guardianship papers for Jessie. For once I was early - they are due on the 10th.
Jessie's arm pit is normal, except for the lumps, which are there almost all the time. No redness, no rash. Thanks so much for praying. She's also been a lot happier, too.

Another Fall
This is getting ridiculous! I haven't fallen in years, and now I've fallen twice in a couple months! Doreen's son, Peter, came to pull weeds for me this afternoon and I went outside to show him what I needed done. I was behind the workshop and tripped over a lid I had just thrown on the ground (not a smart place to put it) and went sprawling on my stomach again. Scrapped my elbows, hands and my bad shoulder doesn't feel so good tonight. At least it was the bad one that I'm having fixed in August! God spared my new knee, too, for which I am VERY grateful. Poor Peter had to help me up. Actually, he lifted me up himself. I'm so glad he was there. It was embarrassing, though. I probably looked like a beached whale laying there. I really need to figure out how to get myself back up on one knee. However, I have a new left knee and bad right shoulder. Doesn't work in trying to get up by myself.

A Quiet Sunday
Jess and I ate our breakfast upstairs. I gave her a bath and we were going to have our own church service but out of the blue my upper back started to have spasms. Where they came from I'll never know, as I don't usually get pain in my upper back. It was so bad I had to take a strong pain pill. I called Randie and asked her to call me every hour for a few hours to make sure I was OK. Jon was at work and I don't like to take them when I'm alone with Jessie.
She spent the day on her iPad, or mine when hers was charging. We ate lunch together on the couch and then I closed my eyes after the first effects of the pain pill left and slept for awhile. I fixed dinner, did payroll and now I'm going to sit down again. Not what I planned for today, but what can you do when your body decides to act up?
