Happy Mother's Day

This is one of my most favorite pictures. My mom, Hilda Jonas, and my wonderful daughter, Jessie. It is posted in various places in my house.

This is my second Mother's Day without my mom, and I miss her more today than yesterday, last month, last year.

Jon bought me a nice bouquet of flowers, and Jessie's gift is in Debbie's car. I made myself a meal I haven't made in years, and really enjoy:  stew and dumplings.

I was going to begin a new book, but took a nap instead. Oh, well. The book will wait. Guess I needed the extra sleep.
